Questions before you set up an AI employee?
Here are the practical answers: what OpenClaw is, what you get, what requires approval, and what FredBuilds does not promise.
What is OpenClaw?
OpenClaw is the AI employee platform underneath FredBuilds kits. It gives an AI assistant a workspace, memory, tools, scheduled checks, SOP/playbook files, and approval boundaries. FredBuilds packages that into practical workflows for real business roles.
What does FredBuilds sell?
FredBuilds sells one-time purchase, downloadable OpenClaw-ready workflow kits: prompts, templates, SOPs, trackers, setup guides, examples, approval rules, and for the core kits, Windows/Mac/Linux setup files.
Is this a SaaS subscription?
No. The current products are downloadable digital files. You use them with OpenClaw and your own model/provider setup.
Are these downloadable products?
Yes. FredBuilds currently offers one-time OpenClaw workflow kits. You download the files and use them with your own OpenClaw/model setup.
Do I need my own AI/API key?
Usually yes. OpenClaw needs a model provider such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, or another supported provider. The free setup PDF explains the basic install path; your provider will handle its own pricing/API key.
Does OpenClaw work on Windows, Mac, and Linux?
Yes. Mac and Linux use the install shell script. Windows can use native PowerShell or WSL2. WSL2 is usually recommended for the fullest Windows experience.
Do I need to be technical?
You need OpenClaw set up first. After that, the Inbox, Lead Follow-Up, and Admin kits are designed to keep setup clear: unzip the kit, open the Windows/Mac/Linux setup file, answer plain-language questions, and open the generated workspace in OpenClaw.
Do the AI Employee kit setup files install OpenClaw?
No. OpenClaw must be set up first. The Inbox, Lead Follow-Up, and Admin kit setup files create FredBuilds OpenClaw-ready workspaces, prompts, SOPs, approval rules, examples, and next steps. They do not install OpenClaw itself.
What happens after I buy a kit?
You receive a ZIP download with the product files. The core AI Employee kits include clearly named Windows, Mac, and Linux setup files in the ZIP root, plus prompts, SOPs, worksheets/templates, examples, approval rules, and setup notes.
Is the free PDF enough?
The free PDF helps you install OpenClaw and understand the first workflow. The paid kits are for specific jobs: inbox, follow-up, admin, crypto team ops, and other repeatable workflows. The Inbox, Lead Follow-Up, and Admin kits include workspace setup files.
Will the AI act autonomously?
The safe default is no. FredBuilds focuses on bounded AI employees: draft, summarize, organize, prepare, and escalate. Humans approve risky, public, customer-facing, financial, legal, or sensitive actions.
Is the Crypto Team AI Toolkit financial advice or trading advice?
No. It is for research, community signal, content drafts, support triage, partner follow-ups, FUD/risk escalation, and operations. It is not a trading bot, financial advice, legal advice, token price prediction, or automated moderation system.
Can I use the files without OpenClaw?
You can adapt many prompts/templates elsewhere, but the intended setup is OpenClaw-powered: workspace, memory, SOPs, tools, scheduled checks, and approval boundaries.
What is the refund/support policy?
Refund requests are reviewed case by case within 7 days, especially if the wrong file was delivered, the download is broken, or the product was materially misrepresented. Support: support [at] fredbuilds.co.
